The Georgia Department of Natural Resources recently rolled out an unnecessarily restrictive anchoring regulation that takes away boaters’ access to Georgia’s waters.
This new rule restricts overnight anchoring within 1,000 feet of a structure, including public and private docks, piers, and more. Boaters’ rights – including access to public waters – are at risk with this new regulation.
This isn’t just for boaters in Georgia, but visitors from across the country who come to enjoy our beautiful coastline.
Tell Governor Kemp you oppose these restrictions and they must be fixed!
