RESTORE BOATING ACCESS IN GEORGIA

Tell Georgia lawmakers to support HB-833 to restore boaters’ access to Georgia’s waters!

The Georgia General Assembly is debating HB-833, a bill that would restore boaters’ access by fixing an extreme rule set by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Why do boaters need HB-833? It restores boaters’ access to Georgia’s coastlines by:

  • Reducing shoreline anchorage from 1,000 feet to zero; and
  • Reducing anchorage setback to 150 feet for any structure, including a private dock, pier, bridge, or wharf.

HB-833 is good news for the recreational boating community and makes public water exactly what it should be – public. Tell Georgia lawmakers to support HB-833!
