Support S. 317- Lower Boat Taxes in South Carolina
Good news for South Carolina boaters: S. 317, a bill to cut boat property taxes in half, will be heard in the Senate Finance Subcommittee tomorrow (April 15, 2025). This follows H. 3858, a similar bill in the House with strong bipartisan support.
With over 360,000 registered boats in the state, recreational boating supports 27,000 jobs and contributes $6.5 billion to South Carolina’s economy. Lowering boat taxes will make the state more affordable for boaters and strengthen our boating community.
Take action now: ask your legislator and the Senate Finance Subcommittee members to support S. 317 and help make boating more affordable in South Carolina.
